Meet Elri Kuhn
A compassionate space to heal, grow and flourish.

Welcome, I’m Elri.
I believe that even in life’s most difficult seasons, there is capacity for healing, renewed hope and meaningful growth. Sometimes we simply need a safe place to pause, make sense of our story and find the courage to take the next step.
My background brings together Psychology, Christian ministry and pastoral counselling. Through my work in ministry, I have walked alongside people and families through personal challenges, relational difficulties, seasons of change and processes of restoration. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the complexity of people’s stories and the importance of being met with compassion rather than judgement.
My approach is collaborative, empathetic and holistic. I recognise that our emotional wellbeing, relationships, personal values and spiritual lives can influence one another. Where it is helpful and welcome, I integrate Christian faith and spiritual reflection into the counselling process, while respecting each person’s experiences, beliefs and choices.
I don’t see my role as fixing you or giving you all the answers. Instead, I walk alongside you as we explore the challenges you face, recognise patterns that may be holding you back, and discover practical ways to move forward with greater clarity, freedom and confidence.
Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, questions of faith or a season of personal change, you are welcome here. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.
My hope is that counselling becomes a space where you feel heard, gain fresh perspective and take meaningful steps towards a life marked by greater wholeness, hope and flourishing.
You don’t have to navigate life’s difficult seasons alone.

My approach
A space that is…
Five things I hold to in every session.
-
Compassionate
Your story will be approached with care and respect.
-
Collaborative
We work together towards goals that matter to you.
-
Practical
Reflection is paired with useful tools and realistic next steps.
-
Holistic
Emotional, relational, personal and spiritual dimensions may be explored where relevant.
-
Faith-informed
Christian principles and spiritual practices can form part of the process when appropriate and welcomed by you.
I will not assume that every difficulty has a spiritual explanation, and I will not treat pastoral counselling as a replacement for medical or mental health care. If your needs fall outside my scope of practice, I may recommend that you consult another appropriately qualified professional.
